In following this guide I suggest you only practice things as they are listed to ensure you have enough sessions to keep up. If you don't have enough practice sessions you can always get a level by fighting and rejoin the list.
L01 : Pull the cord. Wait for auth. Give up, name random. Pull cord.
L02 : Max CON and WIS. If you can easily do so max DEX and LCK. Adept sneak and hide. Start on steal if necessary.
L03 : Adept steal. Adept cook if necessary.
L04 : Adept cook. Adept peek. Adept dig. Adept climb if necessary.
L05 : Adept climb. Adept pick lock. Adept mount if necessary.
L06 : Adept mount. Adept evasive/defensive/standard/aggressive styles. Adept dodge. Adept strike. Adept bludgeons/flexible arms/long/pugilism/short blades/talonous arms.
Note: You will probably get a couple of levels on step 6, but it's all in 1 fight if you do it right, so I won't break it up... just carry on down the list.
L07: Adept scan. Start killing crab guards in Coral Depths.
L08: Switch to an oar, sigil, clogs and eltor hide leggings. Adjust other gear as needed.
L09: Adept jab. You're still killing guards right? Make sure you're logging out at repop to farm the 1.4m gold area pops.
L10: Adept second attack. Adept swipe.
At this point backstab, search and disarm will not be adept but you can be using them whenever possible. See the how to adept thread for notes on each.
